TMI

1). How many credit cards do you own? Are they paid off?
Babushka - Too many. Sears Home Depot, Target, Wells Fargo, JC Penney, Kohl’s. Most of them are cut up. All but one are paid off. Oh, wait, I forgot I bought a lawn mower. Two are not paid off.
Kahuna – 2 Real Visa’s, One Checking Account Visa, Macy’s and Circuit City. They were until I was separated and began paying for a divorce that never seems to end (other than the monthly attorney bill)

2). Can you be in love with someone you don't trust?
Babushka - No. You can love them. You cannot be in love with them.
Kahuna – 2 Real Visa’s, One Checking Account Visa, Macy’s and Circuit City. They were until I was separated and began paying for a divorce that never seems to end (other than the monthly attorney bill)

3).
Should prostitution be legal?
Babushka - I go back and forth on this one. I can see both sides.
Kahuna – 2 Real Visa’s, One Checking Account Visa, Macy’s and Circuit City. They were until I was separated and began paying for a divorce that never seems to end (other than the monthly attorney bill)

4). On a scale of 1-10, how good of a lover do you think you are? (1 is lowest, 10 is highest)
Babushka - 7.5?
Kahuna – As usual, Babushka has significantly underestimated her score (9.99). As for me, 8.5 because I am with Babushka (much lower pre-B)

5). What are three mistakes someone could make on the first date with you that would automatically make you turn down a second date with them?
Babushka - Be cocky, be rude to anyone or say something negative about kids (his mine or others)
Kahuna – Show up with her boyfriend; Show up with her father, Not show up at all

Bonus (as in optional): Tell us about your worst date ever.
Babushka - Match.com, a cocky man who told me before we even sat down for dinner what he wanted to do to me and how much I would love it THEN told me 1/2 way through dinner that he had just moved here and did not have a job, so it would be great if I could cover dinner because as he said earlier he was worth it THEN used his ever ringing cell phone as an example of a girl he had done those things to and now would not go away. Lovely, huh?
Kahuna – I have so little dating experience. When I was 18, I met a lead singer (gal – thanks anyway) in a bar who thought she was hot shit. I got extremely drunk (common back then), impressed her somehow and she took me home to “fulfill my fantasy”. When we got to her place she immediately got nekkid and then just laid on her back and said ‘go ahead’………so I went ahead and left.

Blessed Week

Talk about a difficult week. I know, contradiction to the title. But, read on. . .

Wednesday we were in an accident. It was a bad accident. An ass in a big white van in the end of rush hour merged into the far right lane of a three lane interstate. The only problem was, BuddyLuv and I were right there where the van wanted to be. We went onto the shoulder to avoid being rear-ended by the traffic behind me.

At that point, we lost control, crossed the three lanes of traffic, than back again and ended up rolled, passenger side down facing the wrong way in the ditch.

I have always felt that I have angels watching over me. For as bad as things get, they could always have been worse. And, we always make it. This is one of those many times.

I could see the panic and buildup in BuddyLuv's eyes.

The windows were smashed in, we were covered in glass.

I told him no, we are ok and it was over. Now we just had to get out of the car as quick as possible. I told him to unbuckle himself, as we were sideways, he dropped into the glass. He crawled out of the sunroof and I told him to do. He laid down on the ground like I told him to do.

How I got out, I do not know.

The next eternity was a blur. Ambulance. Doctors.

As soon as I knew BuddyLuv was ok, the doctors asked me if I was ok. I was not. I was pale as a ghost, I guess. They got me a bed and monitored me. My blood pressure was 150/110.

We were bumps, bruises and fears aside, we were fine, safe and alive.

It is funny, a recent TMI question asked about beating yourself up, forgiving yourself. I have spent the last 96 hours, that 5760 minutes, reliving what happened in probably less than a minute. Was I paying full attention? Should I have let them hit me instead of avoid it? I knew I would not regain control of the car, so when we were coming back over, I purposely prayed we land in the ditch instead of being hit by a car behind us, was that the right thing to do? Did I over-react? Could this have been avoided? Why didn't I take better care?

The car is totaled. It was less than a year old and and a leased vehicle. I will probably end up paying the next couple of years on a car that is done and gone because I will not get from insurance what I owe. (anyone know how that works?)

But, then for every scared thought or self doubt I have, I have another thought. Every penny I will probably end up paying out paid for a car that got us through what could have been a tragedy. It paid for that car that gave me that 5760 more minutes of time with my loved ones. It also paid for my opportunity for every other minute of my life.

I am blessed. I hold tight what truly matters. I have my Kahuna, my BuddyLuv, my Dude and my Pumpkin and everyone else. I have angels watching over me.

TMI

Is there a TV show you HAVE to watch? If so, what is it?
BABUSHKA - Nope. I used to like catching Charmed. If I am home, I usually don't miss Dancing with the Stars. But, there is nothing that I HAVE to watch.
KAHUNA – Not anymore, as my schedule does not allow consistent viewing. If I had TiVo there would be a few I would ensure to not miss

What is you favorite drink if you are going to drink more than one?
BABUSHKA – Water
KAHUNA – Not anymore, as my schedule does not allow consistent viewing. If I had TiVo there would be a few I would ensure to not miss

How long do you carry guilt around with you?
BABUSHKA - Sometimes years and years. Kahuna and I were just talking about this a week ago. It is sadly funny that everyone but myself have forgiven me for things I have done in the past. Even knowing they happened for a reason, and that they have made me who I am does not help.
KAHUNA – Too Long. Just like Babushka, there are some things that I still carry a little guilt over, but I am much better at forgiving myself for past transgressions.

Where is or would be your number one romantic get away spot?
BABUSHKA - Wherever Kahuna is. . . And Greece as a close second! :-)
KAHUNA – Not to sound too corny, but with babushka in Greece, in lieu of "M".

Have you ever seen a counselor?
BABUSHKA - Yes. In 7th grade I was molested by two boys at school. They told me how they were going to rape me. It was the last day I ever went there. The court said I had to go to a counselor. However, it doesn't really help if you are not honest. I didn't trust the counselor to keep things confidential that would hurt my family.
KAHUNA – I have seen two therapists and three marriage counselors.

Bonus (as in optional): Last summer the Archives of Sexual Behavior the 237 reasons people have sex and the Top 50 Reasons Men and Women Have Sex. What are your top 5 reasons?

BABUSHKA –

  • Because we have a moment alone
  • Because I saw something erotic at some point during the day
  • Because I am not tired anymore
  • Because Kahuna kissed my neck
  • to be close to Kahuna

KAHUNA –

  • Because I heard Babushka’s voice
  • Because I saw Babushka’s smile
  • Because I saw Babushka walk toward me
  • Because Babushka is not tired anymore
  • Because I am a genetic male

TMI #133 - Early for us both!

How many cell phones have you had? How long have you had your current cell phone number?
Babushka - I think I have had maybe 5. My current number I have had for almost 5 years. Kahuna and I were just talking about this last night. Because I am so focused on wiping out my debt, I want to get rid of it. My contract is over. BUT, it is like an addiction. . . I just don't like the thought of going without it! It increases my opportunity to hear Kahuna's voice a hundred times over. Plus, I am looking for a different part time job with more hours. That means more driving at night (bar close) probably. . . If. . . If I were to get one of two jobs I am applying for, I would have a cell phone from work and just have $20 taken out each month for personal use. Stay tuned. . .
Kahuna – I would guess 5 or 6 over the years. I have one now for work and have had for three years or so. I cannot fathom not being able to call my lovely Babushka.

Where was the last place you had sex?
Babushka - In my bed a few hours ago! :-) I am a happy lady! :-) My Kahuna and I made slow, intense, intimate love last night.
Kahuna – Hey, where was I?...... Just kidding. Babushka always cracks me up, as she is always so tired until we get to bed. J

On a scale of 1-10, how satisfied are you with your love life? (1 is lowest, 10 is highest)
Babushka - 9! The only way it could be better is if Kahuna were here all of the time!
Kahuna – What she said!!

Does Bliss sound like a fun game to you? Have you ever played it?
Babushka - Honestly, maybe I am too cautious. . . But, anything named that "light and fun" is probably not a good thing. So, no, I have never played it.
Kahuna – I am at work so I will simple defer to my lovely Babushka

Is there anything or anyone you would be willing to die for?
Babushka – Yes - I would probably not even think twice if a situation were so dire that it was a them or me situation.
Kahuna – Certainly –Babushka and our three kids come to mind

Bonus (as in optional): If you were (or had) a magic genie and could only grant wishes for others and you only had three left, what would they be and who would they be for?
Babushka - Wow, thats quite a question.
1) To my mom, I would grant a wish for a million dollars. Money sounds funny to come up with first. But, I know what she would do with it. She would make a lump sum payment on my sister's house. She has had multiple spinal surgeries and has 4 daughters under 11. Her husband works two jobs and she sells baby blankets online. I know my mom would put away money for each grandchild. My parents could pay off their house and my dad would not have to work at 67. She could send money to my brother so he and my sister in law can buy a house. I know she would want do send me the same amount as my sister and brother. Then, she would pay towards the mortgage on my grandparent's house. And, finally, made investments with the rest.
2) I would grant a wish. . . I don't know. . . There is so much need out there, I don't know how I would chose. . .
Kahuna – Wish One – already came true; Wish Two – already came true; Wish Three – already came true. I spent nearly twenty years wishing for something I thought would never come true. With Babushka, my wishes were answered. I do not require any other wishes be fulfilled.

DVD Movie List

So Babushka tells me this morning "We should start a list of movies we want to see on the blog. There are movies that we want to rent but then forget about."

Sounds like a good idea to me

So Babushka's first movie - "Made of Honor"

This may not be such a good idea after all................

I am adding "Iron Man" dammit! :-)

Get Busy Livin' or Get Busy Dyin"
